Bouslog to hit the web

Chad Bouslog, a 2000 New Castle graduate, will be taking Trojan sporting events to the next level this season.  Chad will be the on-air host for the NCTrojans.net webcasting during the winter sports season.  The schedule will include 15 contests featuring all of the winter sports, which include basketball, wrestling, swimming and gymnastics.

Bouslog graduated from Indiana University in 2004 with a degree in Sport Marketing & Management.  He is currently an account executive at a small company called Blackbaud.  His broadcasting experience comes from working at RTV6, where he wrote a sports blog on theIndyChannel.com called "The Bous Theory".

Since 2009, he has been broadcasting Pike football and basketball on PikeSportsLive.com(4 seasons of football and 3 of basketball) Ironically, one of his favorite high school memories came at the hands of Pike in the regional basketball game where the Trojans hit 14 straight 3s to move on to the semi-state at Hinkle Fieldhouse.  When announcing Pike games, he made sure to tell the regional basketball story a time or two, and made sure to include that "I didn't hit any of the 3-pointers" he talked about.

Another Trojan memory for Chad was his success during his senior year, when he played on one of the top tennis doubles teams in the state.

Growing up in New Castle meant a lot to Chad, as he makes reference to his home town,

"During college, and since then, when asked where I'm from, I'm always proud to say New Castle.  For a town under 20,000 people, I don't believe I've ever had someone say, "Where is that?"  "The conversation always comes back to New Castle athletics".

He goes on to comment, "The passion that people have towards New Castle athletics is unprecedented anywhere in this state.  The opportunity to step back into the passion and help share what great things take place in New Castle was a no brainer.  There is a true sense of community and I cannot wait to be around such great people yet again.  The ability to share this with people that may have moved out of state or can't make it to different athletic events is truly special".

Bouslog closes with, "I cannot wait to smell that popcorn as I walk into the New Castle Fieldhouse."

Chad currently lives in Fishers.

Stay tuned to future updates and scheduled webcasted events.
