JERRY LAMBERSON
Jerry was salutatorian of the Class of 1971 and excelled in basketball, tennis and baseball. He received the Arthur L. Trester Award – recognizing scholarship, attitude in athletics and citizenship – when the 1971 basketball team went to State. Having been a three-year starter, he was All-NCC his senior year as well as All-Sectional, All-Regional, and All-Semi-State. He averaged 16.5 ppg and finished his high school basketball career with 803 points. Jerry was also a three-year varsity member of the tennis team, where he played number two singles. In baseball, he was All-NCC. After graduation, Jerry had a full-scholarship to Auburn University, where he was the second leading scorer and the second leading rebounder for the basketball team. He graduated from the IU School of Optometry and established his practice in New Castle.
Jerry and his wife, Sonnie, are the parents of Megan and Ross. His hobbies include golfing, boating, jogging, reading and watching sports.
